Jemila Woodson is a communications
associate for the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public
Life. Prior to working at the Pew Forum, she served as a marketing and
public relations specialist in the city of Richmond’s Office of the Press
Secretary to the Mayor. While there, Jemila performed communications, marketing
and media relations services under two mayors. Previously, she worked as an
associate producer for WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond, and in music and talent for MTV
Networks in New York. Jemila has a B.A. in journalism and communications with an emphasis in public relations from Hampton University and a master of public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Government and Public Affairs.
