Planning and Operations Manager

Kathleen Flynn is the planning and operations manager for the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life. She is responsible for finances, contracts and grants. Prior to joining the Pew Forum, Kathleen was the director of finance and operations at The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children's Center, a nonprofit organization in Charleston, S.C., that provides services to child abuse victims and their families. In her six-year tenure, she was responsible for managing finances, grants and general business operations.
Previously, Kathleen was a news researcher. From 1996 to 2002, she was the deputy director of information services at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she managed people and projects to support journalists and corporate executives. Before moving to Atlanta, Kathleen worked for U.S. News & World Report and the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment.
Kathleen has an undergraduate degree in history from Georgetown University and a master's in library science from the University of Maryland.
