KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10, (Agencies): Kuwait was ranked high in the Government Restrictions Index involving religion, according to a report released Tuesday by The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life — a private American research group.

Besides Kuwait, other GCC countries ranked high on this index include Oman and Qatar, while Bahrain and United Arab Emirates (UAE) were ranked moderate. Saudi Arabia was ranked very high, along with Egypt, Iran, Uzbekistan, China, Maldives, Malaysia, Burma (Myanmar), Eritrea and Indonesia.
