ASTANA – Kazakhstan was the 11th largest source of emigrants by number
as of 2010, the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life found in a study released in March.
As of 2010, 4.15m former Kazakhstanis were living elsewhere around the world, Pew found. The ratio of emigrants to population (16.3m in 2010, according to the World Bank) exceeded that of the 10 greater contributors of emigrants, except for the Palestinian territories, whose diaspora was bigger than its population.
