The Archdiocese of New Orleans and three other South Louisiana dioceses this week launched a six-week advertising blitz designed to invite former Catholics back into the fold.
The campaign, called Catholics Come Home, will be visible throughout Lent in more than 1,700 radio and TV commercials, print ads, and signs. In the New Orleans area, Archbishop Gregory Aymond also plans to send personal letters to people whose names have been forwarded by friends or relatives, the archdiocese said.
