Columbus Dispatch: Top court may alter religious-employment law

The Supreme Court heard arguments yesterday in a case that could change how religious institutions hire and fire people.

This is the first time the court has weighed in on the “ministerial exception,” a constitutional principle that exempts religious organizations from laws that govern some employer-employee relations.
