U.S. Catholics overwhelmingly like the selection of Pope Francis as the new leader of the Roman Catholic Church, a poll released Monday finds.
The Pew Research Center found 73% of U.S. Catholics surveyed said they were happy with the selection, including 31% who said they were very happy. Only 2% expressed unhappiness, and one-quarter of U.S. Catholics said they do not have an opinion about Francis.
