When you need financial advice, your first instinct may be to turn to a professional money adviser, financial how-to book or family member. You probably don't think of religion.

But most faiths take a perspective on how to manage money, and prominent financial leaders have invoked faith when faced with tough decisions. In his memoir, former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson makes references to his reliance on prayer and scripture as the financial system was collapsing in 2008.
