A mass of tangled limbs
hung off the back of the pick-up truck stacked high with bloodied
corpses. Bodies still littered the streets of Kano last night, two days
after Islamists mounted a series of attacks on Nigeria's second largest
city.
The first explosions
rocked the commercial centre of the largely Muslim north on Friday night
just as residents were heading for evening prayers. As worshippers fled
in terror, bullets rang out.
