If an impending federal rule requiring contraception and sterilization coverage in all health insurance policies is enacted, Catholic agencies may drop all health insurance, which they say could also force them to close.
"It poses for us the dilemma of providing health insurance coverage for our employees that includes services that are counter to our teaching, or not providing health benefits at all," said Susan Rauscher, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
