Roman Catholics across the English-speaking world will hear a new version of Mass this Sunday as their churches adopt a more formal translation of the original Latin service.

Words like “consubstantial” will replace the more familiar “one in being with the Father,” for instance, as the Catholic Mass undergoes its first major revision since 1969.
