NYC mayor jabs at gov. candidate Paladino; Ground zero mosque issue heating up

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday dismissed Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino's stance on the proposed mosque near Ground Zero as irrelevant.

"He's not going to get elected, so let's go on" to the next question, Mr. Bloomberg told The Wall Street Journal in response to an inquiry about Mr. Paladino's pledge, if elected, to use eminent domain to prevent Cordoba House, a Muslim cultural center and mosque, from rising two blocks from the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
