Libya Rebels are
scrutinising dozens, and possibly hundreds, of fighters within their
ranks as part of a crackdown to deny Islamic extremists a toehold within
the anti-Gaddafi revolution.
The Times has established
that any Libyan rebel brigades operating outside the central control of
the National Transitional Council (NTC) by the beginning of August will
be considered criminal organisations.
