WASHINGTON - A Sikh advocacy group has launched a free mobile application that allows travellers to complain immediately to the government about unfair treatment by airport security screeners.
The Sikh Coalition
says its FlyRights app activated at midnight, and two complaints had
been filed by 10 a.m. Eastern time Monday. The first was by a woman who
said she felt humiliated by a screener who pulled her aside after she
said she was carrying breast milk. The second was filed by a man who
felt mistreated due to his religion.
