TUNIS - A former Tunisian interior minister sparked protests on
Thursday by warning that loyalists of the ousted president would mount a
coup if Islamists took power in an election on July 23.
The
overthrow of President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali in January after 23
years in power has awoken tensions between pro- and anti-Islamists in
the North African country.
