WSJ: In a battle for all the marble, Israel can't resist Iran

TEL AVIV—Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad once famously threatened to wipe Israel "off the map." But while the Islamic Republic may be bent on the Jewish state's destruction, it is also contributing to Israel's construction.

Iranian marble, it turns out, is featuring prominently in some of this country's most prominent buildings, despite a near-total ban on trade with Iran.
