California Supreme Court Hears Arguments on Proposition 8
Yesterday the California Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a lawsuit challenging Proposition 8, a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage. The Pew Forum has an extensive research package on different aspects of the gay marriage debate, including a legal backgrounder detailing the case history of the issue leading up to yesterday's hearing and a 2007 event transcript focusing on same-sex marriage in California and featuring panelists Ken Starr and Shannon Minter, two of the attorneys on the current case.
