In an essay for The Independent, Guy Adams considers Americans' willingness to elect a Mormon to the U.S. presidency in light of Mitt Romney's announcement today that he will seek the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. Adams quotes Pew Forum Senior Research Adviser John C. Green and cites data from a 2007 Pew Research Center survey showing 25% of Americans express reservations about supporting a Mormon presidential candidate.
