Latinos, Religion and Campaign 2012
A recent survey by the Pew Hispanic Center and the Pew Forum finds Latino Catholic voters strongly favor President Barack Obama's re-election. However, among Latino evangelical Protestants, just 50% prefer Obama, while 39% support his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney. The Washington Post reports on a recent Pew Forum survey that finds the percentage of religiously unaffiliated Americans is growing. They now constitute nearly a fifth (19.6%) of all U.S. adults and a third (32%) of U.S. adults under 30.
