50th Anniversary of Landmark Supreme Court Ruling on Prayer in Public Schools
 

June 25 will mark the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's 1962 ruling on Engel v. Vitale, in which the High Court determined that school-sponsored prayer, even if it were nonsectarian, violated the Establishment Clause.
