Poll: Growing public approval of gay marriage 

A recent post on Christianity Today's Politics Blog about growing public approval for same-sex marriage in the U.S. cites a 2010 survey by the Pew Forum and the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. The survey found that 42% of Americans favor allowing gays and lesbians to marry legally while 48% oppose it. This was the first time in 15 years of Pew Research Center polling that fewer than half of the American public said they oppose gay marriage.
