SEPT. 27 - AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE
Agence France-Presse reports that when the Vatican's secretary for external relations went before the United Nations General Assembly on Sept. 27, he declared that Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world. The article cites a recent Pew Forum report that found that Christians faced government or social harassment in 130 countries between mid-2006 and mid-2009, and Muslims faced government or social harassment in 117 countries during the same period.
